FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When should I book my newborn session?investment →
I advise that you book your session while you are 5-6 months into your pregnancy. While I will do my best to accommodate last minute bookings, to ensure the very best service it is essential for me to pencil in your due date well ahead of your baby's arrival.
Where are newborn sessions are held?
Sessions are held Mon-Wed-Fri starting at 11 am in my Morris Park Studio only.
What is the best age to photograph a newborn?
Newborns are best photographed within the first 2 weeks of their life. During this time babies will usually retain some of the natural curl from when they were in the womb.
My baby is already two weeks old, have I missed it?
No way! While under two weeks is the ideal age to get that fresh, new baby, curled look, I have photographed a lot of older babies and achieved very similar results.
How long does a newborn session last?
Sessions typically last around 4 hours, depending on the baby. I allow plenty of time for feeding and cuddling and never rush a session. Your prep guide will help you prepare.
Do you have props (like baskets, hats etc.)?
I do! I have invested a great deal of money and time into finding props that fit my style and vision for my art. While I love portraits with decorated sets, I also love the simple pictures that are all about the baby. I believe a mix of both is important!
Can siblings take pictures with the baby?
Of course! You may add on a Sibling portrait to your Newborn session. Plan for it to take place first thing in the morning.
